Founder and creator, Cherdena Daniel, is a trained interior designer, having graduated from Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Master of Science in Environmental Design. An entrepreneur at heart, she is LEED-certified and the owner and operator of Cherdena Daniel Creative Design. Throughout her 20-year career, she has worked on a wide variety of projects in Los Angeles, New York City, and Oklahoma City including medical facilities, restaurants, high-end residential and commercial projects.
Possessing a passion for the community, Cherdena makes a concerted effort to expose underrepresented youth to design through mentoring, speaking engagements, hands-on activities, and workshops. Cherdena is also the director of the Miss Black Oklahoma City Pageant, founded by legendary civil rights activist Clara Luper, where contestants develop self-worth, confidence, and develop leadership skills.
Cherdena is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., attends Peoples' Church of Oklahoma City, and is also a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. where she serves as Social Media Chair for the Central Region and President of the Oklahoma City Chapter. As a small business owner and community leader, Cherdena received the Equal Opportunity Award from Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City and the Rising Star from the Division of Institutional Diversity at Oklahoma State University.
Married to Dr. Edward Daniel, she is a mother of 5 children and enjoys reading, crafting and spending time with family and friends.
